Artwork that you post on Plein Eire under the 'Paintings' tab should be only paintings and sketches made 'en plein air', ie. substantially painted outside, on location. There are plenty of websites for all kinds of studio paintings and there is nothing wrong with that. But this site is specially for plein air painting. - Lets keep it that way.
Please do not include frames or mounts (mats) in the photos. They look far better cropped to the image.
Add brief information of interest to fellow artists and potential clients. This could include: Title, Dimensions, Medium and what kind of surface it is painted on. Perhaps how long you spent on it or was it a good location to paint.
If you wish, you may invite advice/criticism for your work from others but if you do, be prepared for some directness and honesty. - You may need the hide of a rhino. And simply ignore advice you can't use.
Other images, including, for example, photographs of paint outs, studio paintings and life drawings can be interesting additions to the dialogue on the site but you should upload these as a video slide-show or as a blog, not as Artwork.
A final word about your Profile photograph. The reason we ask each member for a photo is to help others feel somewhat more at ease about potentially meeting other members on a future paint out. For this purpose, we'd prefer photos of you rather than your dog, cat, parrot, horse or even a painting. - Don't be shy - it isn't a beauty contest.
