Hi Norah. I don't mind at all you sharing the group. Would be nice to get a few people together for some paint outs. It is a beautiful place, I'm not sure a lot of people realise that! Hoping for some snow this winter, I love painting out in the snow. You're right about the cuppa :)

Hope you dont mind me sharing your group on fb, you are in a beautiful place for painting.  I love the winter for plein air - the countryside is at its best and the light seems so much softer and the cuppa always seems so much nicer afterwards !

I'm in Bamber Bridge near Preston, so I know the Trough of Bowland pretty well. Beautiful there!

Hi Wendy, like you, I don't mind the cold at all - you can always wrap up well. Just as long as it's a beautiful, bright winter's day :-)  Whereabouts are you from?

Hi Tom and Diedre, nice to have a few more people in the group. I'm afraid it's been very inactive so I'll aim to do something about that. Tom I'll email you and arrange a paint out, though probably not the best time of year. Don't mind the cold but this grey weather isn't the best light for painting!

Hi, I'm Tom from Horwich in Bolton. I'm certainly up for getting out and about around Lancashire. I obviously live on the edge of the beautiful West Pennine Moors and so there's lots to do right here on my doorstep around Rivington. I also have a caravan in Scorton on the edge of the Trough Of Bowland, so I get to various locations around there too.

I'm not a great sketcher or painter, but I do recognise the need to keep trying. And how better than to do it in the great outdoors in the company of like-minded people?
