Here's a recent article in PleinAir Magazine on Pennsylvania artist, Valerie Craig who will be one of the many artists coming to Wexford for Art in the Open 2013.

It all sounds wonderful.  Not sure if I can get there this year, but I am going to see if I can work on it.  I had such fun in 2011.

I've heard that the winning paintings from AITO may be seen somewhere on the site.  But where?  Dying to see them.

3 Adjudicators confirmed:

 3 Adjudicators confirmed:

The adjudicators for Art in the Open 2012  awards are:

Joe Dunne  RHA , Principal, RHA School. ( http://www.joedunne.net/pages/intro.htm )

Art in the Open is delighted to have three such distinguished practising artists for the difficult task of selecting participants' work for this year's festival awards.
While the work of these artists differs widely in style and approach, all three are very familiar with the demands and possibilities of working en plein air. The festival committee hopes that the value of the awards is reflected in the calibre of adjudicator as much as or more than the cash amount awarded and the committee is very grateful to the adjudicators for their contribution to the success of the event and to the regard in which the awards are held.

That's a shame, Esther. We'll miss you. Still, good for you - taking on a new course. Hope it is going well for you. We say this every year but this one will, of course, be the best ever, lasting a full week and an exciting exhibition at the end of it.

Perhaps you can manage one day over the bank holiday weekend?

I suppose at least someone else might get a chance to sell a painting...! Keep laughing x.

Hello, I have been away from the painting for the last while. I'm in a full time course at landscape and design. I miss ye all. I will not be taking part in the art in the open this year. I will miss all the fun. Cheers.
