There're lovely Nikoli ... thanks

Ji Nikolai,
The frames are very elegant!
Can we obtain 24x30 panel boards locally?
Regards
George

Hi George,

I'll order the sizes that you prefer. 24x30cm is only an example that I have.

But if you want 24x30 panels, I could by some here in Berlin.

Just to clarify Nikoli, is there any cost involved to use these frames, or are they on loan ?
Hi Nikolai,
I think I've misunderstood. Go with the sizes you specified (10x12 would be 25x30, I assume. )
George

I'll bring my own frames, Nikolai.

Something is wrong with my browser, I answered two times and it shows nothing.

Ok, here again:

You can buy the frames if you want, if you want to loan them, it's free. Right now I can't say how much it'll coast. It depends on the ordered amount.

I'd appreciate loaning them, as I will probably have even less room in my bag going home :) Great Idea thanks Nikoli !

Hi Everyone,

It's getting close to "take off" , and we have a A few questions to help plan our trip :

- How would people feel about seeing some of Berlin At the beginning or end of the trip ?

- Marko, is there a set schedule organized ? Were you able to get sponsorship for bus trips ect, or will there be added costs involved ?

_ Nickoli suggested that it would be possible to have large container of turps available to us...should we also ask for Linseed and solvents  and split costs

- Are there facilities in each location, and options for bad weather ( we don't mind , but it's good to know just in case we're caught short :)

- What are the dates for the exhibition, where is it being held and for how long... what do you propose in regard to handling the paintings.. should we bring them home if not sold, or leave them there.. if we leave them there, will  there will be a cost incurred to post them home to us ??

- A reminder that Marko let us know earlier that it will be possible to post gear over beforehand if necessary...

Thanks

It depends what you wanna see. There is a lot to see. From the airport are trains, it takes about 40 min till the urban center in East Berlin. I could imagine, that you want some lunch after the flight. There a re a lot of small restaurants and snack bars along the city train. The train from Berlin to Fürstenberg travels about 50 minutes.

There will be a day trip to a nice region (Carwitz, check this link) by bus. No costs, it's sponsored. Some of the participants from Berlin, will arrive with their cars, so we could drive trough the area if you feel to.

I already bought 5 liter of white spirit. I could buy additionally 3 liter turpentine. How much linseed do you need?

There is an old east german shack with lot of space.

The exhibition opening will be on May 31th, 3.00 p.m. in Himmelpfort – a small village located about 5km from Altthymen. The exhibition will be for two months. I think we could discuss the question about shipping on the spot.

greetings, Nikolai

Hi Nikoli,

Thanks for your quick response .

- Berlin - A few have mentioned that perhaps the return journey to Berlin would be the best time to view it, as our flights are late in the day...that's why we are wondering if you have specific schedule, and anything planned for Sunday ? If there is free time, and the day suits our crew, maybe suggestions can be posted here as to where we could visit....

-Carwitz - any specific day ?

- Iinseed oil -  I am hoping our crew will respond here ..Personally linseed and white spirit is good for me...if others need another medium, let us know...

Damar Varnish may also be needed...

- It would be handy if it's not too much trouble, to have an idea of the cost of postage from Germany, which would help ..

- Could we have copies of the poster and leaflet sent to us..or we can collect them there, if you've copies to spare ?

I wasn't aware of the website..thanks - looks great ! http://pleinair-brandenburg.de/
