I booked a 25 kilo case last year and lugged all the stuff rather than sending stuff over.  That is possible if we are being taken to and from the airport.  It was the trains, tunnels and escalators that did people in last year. 

We will have a shorter time this year - a week rather than ten days, so in my opinion the day in Berlin could be dropped.  An earlier flight is a possibility too.  I'll be happy to go along with whatever the group decides.

I haven't booked any flights yet. But, yes, the 7-00 am Aer Lingus flight is the one to book for the outward journey. We need to agree which return flight to book. In previous years we took the evening flight, because we opted to spend a day in Berlin. But, in reality, it wasn't worth all the hassle, so this time it will be a bus directly to the airport. So, we could take an earlier flight, and avoid a late night drive home.

I am assuming that we would need to book a 20kg case on board for our painting stuff ? I won't be out for the next few sats either Valerie but might arrange a paint out in city centre during the week if the weather behaves itself  ! The 7am flight is still available, which one did you book for the return as there were a few choices.  Thanks Michael for your help also

I'm not sure, but I think I met Svetlana once here in Wexford. I have a vague recollection of painting in a South East Plein Air Group paint-out (maybe in Curracloe) a few years back when a few from the Dublin Group joined us.
