Karen has had over ten years experience painting outdoors. She has a BA hons from the West Wales School of the Arts Carmarhen , Wales where she recieved Student of the year award for her work. She has taken part in a number of Pein Air Events at home and abroard, winning awards for her work in Annapolis, Berlin/Brandenburg and Art In The Open Events.

Plein Air Painting is an extremely important element in my work. My aim is to capture the moods of each day, through light colour and tone. It can be exciting, exasperating, fun, sociable ,solitary, rewarding, while at the same time very good for our health, slowing us down and being in nature. My wish is to pass on this passion and set your plein Air Journey in motion.
