Yes Sean, its a good article. I am sure it takes a lot of experience to pare down a subject and paint it like he did.

I checked out that Tom Luddock piece that you link to in the Independent's Great Art series and it's a wonderfully incisive analysis, of what would otherwise seem to be a simple painting.
Sean, I tried to edit the last comment but here it is again , its a cup and saucer painting by Henri Fauntin Latour, its so simple and elegant. I found this article about it online
