Hi Tony, everyone,
As slightly anticipated, the weather for the fly-in event in Taghmon is looking dire, and ILAS the organisers have cancelled until further notice.
Cest la vie.
We'll be in Graiguenamanagh so, however not travelling the breadth of Wexford in dodgy weather :-]
I’m going to drop paintings in to the venue in Graigunamanagh tomorrow, Friday, if anyone wants to give me framed work to bring, contact me on FB
Thanks, John. The Aircraft Society could be a lot of fun to paint
So there you have it - TWO possibles for this weekend; Graig Town of Books OR the Taghmon Airshow. If you are time-rich this weekend, maybe even do both!
The forecast is better for Saturday than Sunday at the moment. If leaving your works on show, drop them off at Barrow's Keep Restaurant on the Carlow side of the bridge. Obviously, at your own risk. Any questions, contact ToB organiser Mary Whelan on 087 9270624. The restaurant is somewhat dark but it is advertised there now and the owners are running a wine event at the weekend so who knows, you could get lucky.
Hi Tony
as discussed, the Irish Light Aircraft Society are having their main fly-in event this year in the ILAS field, Ardinagh, Taghmon, this coming Sunday 26th all day.

There should be, weather permitting, a variety of paintable subjects there. One expects they will stay still long enough to do a decent sketch.
I rather fancy trying my hand painting a few aeroplanes - a bit of a change from all the fishing and ferry boats :)
They've kindly agreed to facilitate others in our group who might be interested.
Tea is probably available, as toilets are.
I could see this becoming a regular on our round of locations.
