Gaeltacht Thiar Thir Chonaill, paintout on inis Boffin.

This Saturdays paint out is on the picturesque  small island of Inis Bò Finne,( the island of the white cow) covering 300 acres and is located 4 miles from Falcarragh or 2 miles from the pier in machaire rabhartaigh, a 10 minute boat ride to get there.The southern half of the island is fertile and was cultivated in the past in the traditional clachan and rundale manner,  which involved communal usage of scarce arable soil and cattle pasture.There was 2 villages on the island, one near the harbour of an clash and the other a short distance away at Garradh Bàn.

We intend on meeting up on the pier at Magheroarty  at 10.30 am  sharp for the 11 am sailing.The return fare is 10 euros, bring along your lunch, /chair/ art material s...and please wear appropriate clothing and footwear...( the exhibition committee  is offering a subvention of 5 euros towards the cost to its members) The ferry returns to the main land at 1,30pm /& 4 .30 PM. All family and friends are welcome.
