This Saturdays paintout is on the Beautiful island of Arranmore....off the west coast of Donegal.Its the largest inhabited island of Donegal, with a growing population of 500 and about 5 km long.
Meet up at 10.30am sharp, at the ticket office (portacabin )on your left as you approach the harbour for the 11am sailing.(They are putting this crossing on especially for us at this time)We are sailing in the red boat....
children 5 € return and adults 10€ , if you have a valid travel pass bring it along and you travel for free . ( Those of you in the exhibition group , fare is covered by group.(the usual price for travelling is 15€ pp, our deal is 10€)
Depending on the amount of art trollies we have , we will be loading them into Billy's van and any overflow will be carried by Brian Duffy in his car (.cars or small Van's cost 25€ each.)
Give your selves plenty of time to find parking, use the First car park on the right as you approach the harbour.its limited parking so be early.
Boat will be returning and leaving Arranmore harbour at 3.30 PM sharp...try not to miss it.lol .
There are plenty of pubs, cafes etc on the island, but bring a picnic if you like...wear appropriate clothes and footwear .
As we approach Arranmore, we are greeted by a golden sandy beach , and breathtaking views can be got looking back to this harbour and the cliffs beyond.
The boat journey takes 20 minutes each way .
After returning from Arranmore , meet up in The lobster pot restaurant for lunch, snacks and catchup.
