Gaeltacht Thiar Thir Chonaill, paintout in Doochary..

This Saturdays paintout is in and around the village of Doochary meaning "  Black Weir ".This is a small village in the Rosses, and has a lot to offer the artist....eg Sarah's  well, the waters of which are meant to cure skin problems.At the end of the village on the Dungloe rd, sits an old ice house.This ice house was used by a landlord of the time to preserve fish caught in the Gweebarra river that runs through the village. This village is surrounded  by breathtaking scenery with many small waterfalls  cascading from the hills near by.

We suggest you bring along a chair and lunch
