Gaeltacht Thiar Thir Chonaill, paintout Cashelnagor

This weeks paintout is in and around the historic  old railway station  called Cashelnagor in gortahork .( now fully restored) Built in 1902 this station was home to a long line of station masters and their familes  until the station  closed in 1947, where thereafter it lay derelict for over 60 years.In the 1990s this old station  was used for the setting for a movie called " The railway station man" staring julie Christy and Donald Sutherland .The back drop to this station is Errigal beag and the Derryveagh mountain range. Surrounded by breathtaking views, of heather , big skys and bogs .

Meet up at 11 am in the car park opposite Ostan Loch Altan in gortahork  ( in front of Teac Billie s pub )
