Gaeltacht Thiar Thir Chonaill, paint the islands project

Paint the island project is a new initiative to bring recognition to island life from off   the main land of Donegal and its past history connecting it to Modernity. Our aim is to paint 3 island s per year over the next 10  years , ( 30 islands in total) and record its stories, its energy, its beauty, it's way of life, it's people etc...and tell these stories through paint , photography,  print, drawings, video, etc...The choice is yours .The islands chosen this year are Inis Boffin,  Gola Island, & Arranmore island.

Inis Boffin....sat ,6th  July , time to be announced due to tides.

Meet up at Magher a Gallon pier.

Arranmore island, sat 27th July,  time to be announced due to tides.

Meet up on Burtonport pier.

This project will culminate in an exhibition of cultural importance and heritage. We welcome your input and engagement  in such events and look forward to meeting you all on the above dates.
