Boyne Valley Paint-out Listoke Gardens

Once again and by popular demand this week's venue is Listoke Gardens.  The gardens will be in their Autumn splendour and the Tulip Tree which was in bud last week may be in flower for us on Saturday.  It is a most romantic Edwardian garden with all sorts of mysterious pathways and arbours and woodland walks and farm buildings and animals and exotic fowl.
As you know (see Events 22nd November) Listoke is inviting submissions from artists to a Winter Exhibition.  So come and see the beautiful Gallery in Listoke.

And the forecast looks promising!

We meet at 11 a.m. in the coffee shop.  I suggest we retire afterwards to Monasterboice Inn which is about 10 mins drive away but which will leave us within easy access of the motorway and home.

Admission to the gardens is free and payment for coffee and home-made tart etc is by donation.

Directions:

 1.From M1 exit at Junction 10.

2.  Follow signs for Drogheda. (3 roundabouts in quick succession)

3.  At second traffic light turn left. (These lights are very close together). You will pass hospital on your right.

4.  At roundabout go left .

(At this stage you may get a feeling of déjà vu.  That is because these are the directions to Cloghehead.  However,  do NOT cross the road at this stage.) 

Continue on for about 3 to 4 miles.
