Hi..Glad you got your gear back.. Thanks for the lovely comments..We all enjoyed having you both here.. A blog post is fine. I may have told you this already.....
When we were painting in the Hook on the fest. Paint out, a car pulled up beside me and a couple got out. After a few murmerings , I heard: " Yeah, their trying to do what that american fella was doing"!! How have you become a celebrity already, being so shy an all?? - thought you'd get a kick out of that one!!
Hi David, will do.
I'm holding a cut-down version of the Art in the Open exhibition at the Pigyard for the remainder of August. Do you want me to include your 3 paintings in that or would you like me to post them back straight away?
Great to meet you and Ardis and glad you both had a good time here. Your enthusiasm and good humour lifted everyone. We'll find more time to paint together next time, I hope.
No, I emailed them on to you...You might prefer them in CD form. If you ever want to put them up on your own website or "blog", the quality might be better on CD. let me know what you think, and I can post them onto you if you'd prefer...Were ye tired when you got home??
Hey David..you got home safe and sound..We feel the same here...like we've known ye for years!! Take it easy now your home. The hook was beautiful yesterday..I was painting while the fields were being harvested. A day to feel lucky to be able to appreciate the surroundings in paint!! Did you get the photos by the way??
Hi David,
There is a local bus service for around Wexford town..but you'll hardly need it. If your thinking of visiting the nearby cities(towns really) of Kilkenny and Waterford there is a train route to Waterford that leaves from Rosslare Harbour (12 miles from Wexford),and various public bus routes.
There'll be plenty of opportunities to "Car pool" to the various paint-out venues,so the need to hire a car would be for your own timetable. Also on Saturday of the festival we have a compliamentary bus that will make two return trips to Enniscorthy. There's a public bus that makes regular trips also, if anyone misses it. The weekend will be hectic, so I reckon you need to decide what you might want to do , outside the event. If you look up www.wexford tourism.com . or countywexfordtourism, they might give you some idea what you might like to visit.Hope this helps..looking forward to meeting you,
Karen
Pastels are prob. better for traveling with alright. Have you worked with them much in the past?
Our guys Tony Robinson and Micheal have gone abroad recently and have come up with some genius ways of traveling light with paint gear, painting panels and pochade boxes etc. Might be worth your while contacting them about it, before you come over?...Less than four weeks now!!!
Hi David. Yes really trying to improve while the weather smiles on us. My memory isn't the greatest, and have found that I really need to be doing something most days to keep my style developing. Hit on a couple of pieces the last couple of days that I'm really happy with...Painting going well for you??
Hi David,
Great to see you on board. Your work is beautiful, lovely light in them. looking forward to your demonstration at the Art In The Open Festival.
