Out walking last week I passed this well-known landmark and did a quick pencil sketch from which I completed this painting yesterday. It's on Saunders Waterford 300lb rough paper and measures 7.5ins x 11.5 ins.

Many thanks Barry and Sally, was very happy with this one. Thanks for mentioning the copper beech Sally, I've been trying to recall the name of those trees for ages.
This is lovely Kevin. No evidence of a night with Kyrle on those Venetian tiles. It takes a steady hand to paint railings and gates as straight, regular and even as you have done. I like the way the copper beech breaks the summer greens.
Nice one Kevin.both the sketch and the painting.I cycled passed this the other day and its exactly as you portrayed it.
Noel thank you so much for that compliment, it is much appreciated. Yes the weather is super for getting out and viewing nature in all its glory.
You are the shadow king in watercolour. Both paintings have a fabulous sense of the great weather we are having at the moment.
