W/C on Saunders Waterford rough. A shameful end to a once proud vessel. I remember seeing her ploughing her way along the Suir during my school year in Waterford during the 70s. Paintwork shining and smoke belching from the tall funnel between the two white lifeboats. A sad end indeed.

Nice way the shadow works ... showing the form dramatically and reflects the shape above

how great to see it as you have captured it now Kevin, even if it is no longer belching out smole (what a painting that would make), it is still beautiful. A great selection of boat paintings, an area I am drawn to  now more and more
