Oil panel. 12" x 9" . They say a rising tide raises all boats but as the tide began to come in there seemed to be as much water inside this old skiff as outside. She was lovely in her decrepitude but I imagine her days of bobbing about are numbered. Great paint-out with South East Plein Air in Ballyhack and Passage East on 11.07.15

Now, I know why you agreed with me that boats are difficult to draw, Tony (just after you'd painted this) - even when they're stationery! You did great here though, but strangely my favourite bit is that green sea-weed on the quay wall, just enough to read OK without taking the eye away from the boat.
