This is great. Lovely soft feel to sand & sky, with strong colours just bouncing off the canvas.

Hi Elaine thanks for comments, I really like this painting too! Don't know the genesis of currach word, but they're specially shaped lightweight boats made from canvas and wood, with high prows to break into the large Atlantic waves. My son's just bought one and wants me to go out with him fishing near Renvyle. I probably will, but will be scared stiff!! John

Is currach the Irish/Gaelic for boat? Or a type of boat?
