hey. think i was telling you about this site that does cool business cards. you can upload 50 pics for the back so that they all have different backs, so it's like a portable gallery in your pocket! i got some and they are so totally cool. http://uk.moo.com/

Hey Louise, This will give you a laugh. Sorting through photos yesterday, I was looking at one of you and Neil in your van. I remember you telling me a few times that you call it Thelma and then... I got it. Better late than never I suppose but I often wondered why you kept telling me as if it had some significance.

    Louise
We were wondering how your American sojourn went---hope it was enjoyable and productive--the flight can be a bit killer though, can't it?
  • David Diaz

    Hey Louise
Sorry I can't seem to catch up---what classes are you taking--and when might you post some of your drawings and wcs from the US. Now you know what it feels when it gets above 75. Kinda wilty
  • David Diaz

Louise----I'm hoping your classes were over in time for you to relax and have a great Christmas and new year
  • Moira McCaffery

Thanks Louise, It was great seeing everybody hard at work, and I felt quite jealous being confined to the garret trying to finish a couple of commissions!!  Everybody is welcome to bring their paints back - maybe just give a call beforehand incase there is an event taking place etc.  All the best!

    Hi Louise,

How are you? Siobhán here....we met at the festival in Wexford.  I ust want to say a HUGE thanks for the warm  Wexford welcome from all at the festival. It was a fantastic few days. Will be back next year for sure with a group in tow...have sung the festivals virtues to all my art mates...and they are coming!

Special, special thanks to yourself and Jane for your boundless generosity in making the Rosslare paint-out complete magic. Hope to make another paint out before the weather closes in and hope to see you there. Meantime take care of  yourself and Thelma!!!!!!!!!

  • Plein Eire Administrator

Avid Plein Eire member Louise together with a number of fellow students will be taking their finals for BA (Fine Art) in a few days. Perhaps in other areas of the country (Louise has been studying in Wexford) other members have friends who have spent the last few years exploring art in a contemporary course. Lou won't mind my saying that for a mature student, it is a very onerous and daunting undertaking. Some juggle their course with bringing up a young family.  Well done to them all.

Good luck in your finals. Louise!

We can't wait to have you back outside with us with your easel and palette - I'm not sure your tutors would entirely approve of us, but win, lose or draw, you've earned it.

Wexford Fine Art Degree Show opens at 6pm May 23rd at Wexford Arts Centre.

  • SM Botstein

Hi Louise - Thank you for your encouragement - I see by the comments below that you were a 'mature' academic student - as we say here, 'You GO Girl!'
