Karen---hope you are having a Happy one Also--I have been trying to consume vast amounts of soda bread---little bakery here does a great dense, moist, raisin filled thing, slightly sweet that slides down nicely with butter

Na---just jerkin you around---all is going well---will be out painting tomorrow with 2 friends. and just had our annual meeting on Saturday--about 80 people, 2 demos, and a yard sale for folks who had art materials they no longer use--some traded, some sold, some gave away, some donated money back for events. I don't mind getting alerts, it keeps me posted about what you all are doing--and I could if I were there.  I'm waiting for the new trans-Atlantic bridge to be finished.

If the carbo boast would actually work, I could probably fly---aided of course with a caffine

    boaster.

Karen your photos are terrific!  Such good memories of a brilliant day.  I'm in awe of the talent shown on Sunday but it's such a positive encouragement of just what's possible painting 'plein-air!'  I've been well bitten by the bug and hope to get out again soon with ye all!

    Many thanks

    Geraldine

  • David Diaz

  • Margaret Kent

Karen I would be up for Inistioge on Sunday if you go ahead.
  • Michael McGuire

No, definitely not a prize, Karen, bu maybe a couple of lashes for not having at least 200 up there! Staying on in Kerry for a few days next week, planning to do nothing but paint in West Kerry, so expect the 100 to rise rapidly in a week or so. Looks like you'll have a lovely fine day in Inistiogue on Sunday. Enjoy!

Karen--I've got a question about transportation from Wexford across the country from another artist.  Is it cheaper to hire a car or is it better to train or bus?
  • David Diaz

I'm still up in the air about car rental,,and we did all almost travel together last year.  On the other topic--is there train or bus available to the Shanon area or Connamera?sp

Hi Karen, I really enjoyed my first paint out with you. I felt very welcome and I am delighted to have met and painted with such a friendly group of people. I was't expecting to make it on to the album cover though.

    Cheers,

    Tony

  • David Diaz

Karen--short time till we'll all be gathering to paint together again--and thanks--yes both Wayne and Easton are juried, and I'm leaving for a week for another juried, Western Md.  I've been lucky this year--BTW Easton has gone international with 2 from UK.  I stupidly double booked two events this coming week and got into both, so now I have to make decisions.  Looks like you all are right out there with some great work--every time I go away and come back, I seem to miss a ton.

    Hi Karen,

Thanks so much for your warm welcome!  I changed my profile picture to give a better idea of where I live.  The prior picture was of one of my favorite places to paint - Gloucester, Massachusetts which is located on our east coast.

  • David Diaz

Just saw the photo of Copper Coast--looks like the whole gang showed up--but looks a little chill

Karen--just trying to get ahead of the game a little---I'm going to be coming straight from Paint Easton on the 22 and flying out 24--trying to locate local B&B or something and get it locked in--I apparently was having too much fun last year to plan ahead--got any names or numbers.  How's the weather been there of late?

Thanks Karen . All the panels I used were10" & 12". As for the changing light , at least it was realy only the movement of the sun , not the four seasons in one hour we sometimes have to deal with here.
  • Rita Lett

    Hi Haren

Thank you for your kind words. It was a great day and i enjoyed meeting so many new people.  What a nice day for painting, and such a wonderful venue.  Rita
