Hi Norah, Thanks for your message and for the lovely card you sent after your workshop with Kevin Flood. I'll be in Roundstone for the course at the end of May with John. Will you be joining us? I hope so. My compliments for your work, I really liked the one with the tree. I admire you for having found the time and the will to paint despite your busy life. My brushes are still misbehaving!! Hope to see you in Roundstone!

Hi Norah, Thanks for your comments. I have to confess that I only pulled the canvases out from the back of a cupboard last month and finished them - using an Aer Lingus Cara magazine with conamara photos as a guide!! Are you bringing some of your work to Roundstone? Would love to see them close up. Neil
  • John Dinan

    Thanks, Norah.
Hope the Dub P.E meeting goes well on Saturday at Farmleigh. The forecast tonight is for the good weather to last through the weekend on the E. coast. Fingers crossed. I'll be working and will have to wait until Sunday for my 'fix'. Have a good time and regards to all there.
  • Paul Maloney

Thanks Norah .I am into the dvd s myself.
  • Paul D'Arcy

Norah , thanks for the welcome - it look like a great community site and seems to actually work ! Subliminally Dali would of course be an influence but not as much as Magritte ... the difference is subtle. Don't suppose it is a great starting point to involve oneself in plein air but I love to experiment !

Hi Norah, thanks for the comment, don't know about the discipline and experience, I was just trying to break my habit of too much detail, great fun.

    Hi Norah
    Thanks for your comment.
I love the watercolours you did in Spain . Strong brilliant colours - and you can almost feel the warmth in the pictures.
Your style has changed ? or was it the Spanish sun???
  • Christine McCartney

Hi Norah, thanks I think I will! :-)
  • Karen Scannell

    Hi Nora,
Don't forget a headlamp on Thurs. ( even if it can be attached to your easel somehow) . .The campers headlamp has a "Blue" hue from it which is easier to read your colors with. -

Thanks for your lovely comments Nora..your right about the color that's around at the moment..I don't think I've seen anything like it before...stunning. Feel like a child in a sweet shop! Hope you get a chance to try and capture it soon. We've a load of hints now for keeping warm..polystyrene mat, bamboo fiber thermals, nylon stockings over your shoes ..Target store for undies..electric gloves..we'll be like aliens from another world...............!
