Hi Karen, I finally got a new computer that can handle Plein Eire! Thanks for friending me! I am going to Vermont tomorrow to meet a few artists. We have been painting the Erie Canal in Upstate New York. It is 300 miles long. Dug by shovel in the early 1800s. A few thousand Irish participated in the task. What a terrible way to ruin yourself! Bye for now, Vincent.

    Karen
How are you doing girl--haven't spoken to you for a while--hope all is well and you're still getting out there--I was out of town at a paint out and missed about 10 days of back and forth on the site and am behind---sitting around with a group of Paint Annapolis painters and was sharing some of my good times with you all and realized that I missed being there with the Wexford group.

temperature just dipped today and we had a little snow where we were in the west of the state--and yes, I practically went into a coma after trying to eat my weight in food--could barely stand.
  • David Diaz

Right now I have been involved with installations at two galleries and working with a temp space--these are all member group shows--not my personal ones.
but I am touching up a painting a lady had seen on line--it had some slight surface damage and a bad frame

Usually for MFA's main gallery and a couple of others around the area- -but I have done my own before--you kinda have to separate yourself a little, so you're hanging a better looking show, and not just what you think your best ones are.

HOpe you all are getting for the Lunar eclipse on Tues--I know it is supposed  to be mainly visible in N. Ireland, but you might get a look--supposed to light the shy red

  • David Diaz

Once you have all of that on, does someone stand you outside in the snow in front of the easel----or you could just build a fire pit around yourself.  BTW--I tried the fingerless gloves--uh-uh--now I use fleece ones---thought my finger tips would fall off

  • David Diaz

I use whole fleece glove--they're sort of thick, but soft and warm--they do get paint on them, but that's ok.  Sometimes paint caps present a problem.

I forgot about the possible defects in the fire-pit theory---maybe a ring of fire--but it still might smell like a bar-b-cue when one gets focusing too much.

the pig is considered to be one of the smartest animals, of course--- rooting around for the best possible things.

Hey Karen...yeah...it's got rough out there today!  Had enough for sure!  Haven't done a thing artwise...will have to get motivated after the Christmas!

  • David Diaz

Happy New Year--You might be sitting up right now waiting for it--if my addition is accurate-are you partying with folks or enjoying a quiet one relaxing--either way, lift a pint or glass, and I'll lift one in in 5hrs and 22 minutes.  Start the year off well.

Thanks so much, Karen. What a lovely surprise. Ah, yes...quality brushes will surely help. No excuse now :-)

Definitely a poet's corner - I would love it!  I wrote this at Life Drawing the other night -

    Beautiful woman

    Posing

    Can't do her justice

    Just want her gesture

    Her grace

    In a line

    In colour

    Her essence

    Elusive

See you in Ballyhack - Liz
