    Hi David.
Great to see you here on Plein Eire. Hope to be in touch in next few days about accommodation. Is your friend coming as well as your partner and is he/she bringing a partner also? Perhaps you'd drop me an email about it when you can.
  • Tony Robinson

That's a pity, but I'll get back to you again shortly about accommodation, anyhow. Thanks for the comment.

Hi David ...just wondering if you received my e-mails?
  • Karen Scannell

Hi David. Yes really trying to improve while the weather smiles on us. My memory isn't the greatest, and have found that I really need to be doing something most days to keep my style developing. Hit on a couple of pieces the last couple of days that I'm really happy with...Painting going well for you??
  • Karen Scannell

Pastels are prob. better for traveling with alright. Have you worked with them much in the past?
Our guys Tony Robinson and Micheal have gone abroad recently and have come up with some genius ways of traveling light with paint gear, painting panels and pochade boxes etc. Might be worth your while contacting them about it, before you come over?...Less than four weeks now!!!
  • Karen Scannell

No problem if you want to send your gear to my address...I'll e-mail it to you later. How many days in advance would you need to send it, I wonder??
  • Karen Scannell

Hi David..a tentative yes is fine on any of the events..Did you get the transport of your gear sorted?
  • Karen Scannell

Sounds like a nice present! Weather is holding up here still, so I don't think you'll be needing those "waders"!
  • Margaret Kent

Hi David I hope you do mke it to Tintern Abbey.
  • Karen Scannell

How-ya....a frame point driver??? you got me there David. If it's for pinning a canvas to the frame, I wouldn't worry...we can help there.
  • Karen Scannell

Sounds like your getting plenty of painting in.Make sure you keep some energy by, for the festival!!!!
  • Karen Scannell

What a great series of small works. I hope you bring all that fine weather over with you!!

    Hi David,
There is a local bus service for around Wexford town..but you'll hardly need it. If your thinking of visiting the nearby cities(towns really) of Kilkenny and Waterford there is a train route to Waterford that leaves from Rosslare Harbour (12 miles from Wexford),and various public bus routes.
There'll be plenty of opportunities to "Car pool" to the various paint-out venues,so the need to hire a car would be for your own timetable. Also on Saturday of the festival we have a compliamentary bus that will make two return trips to Enniscorthy. There's a public bus that makes regular trips also, if anyone misses it. The weekend will be hectic, so I reckon you need to decide what you might want to do , outside the event. If you look up www.wexford tourism.com . or countywexfordtourism, they might give you some idea what you might like to visit.Hope this helps..looking forward to meeting you,
    Karen

Hey David..you got home safe and sound..We feel the same here...like we've known ye for years!! Take it easy now your home. The hook was beautiful yesterday..I was painting while the fields were being harvested. A day to feel lucky to be able to appreciate the surroundings in paint!! Did you get the photos by the way??
  • Karen Scannell

No, I emailed them on to you...You might prefer them in CD form. If you ever want to put them up on your own website or "blog", the quality might be better on CD. let me know what you think, and I can post them onto you if you'd prefer...Were ye tired when you got home??
  • Paul Maloney

The pleasure is all mine! Thanks for coming over, your participation was much valued. Paul
  • Tony Robinson

    Hi David, will do.
I'm holding a cut-down version of the Art in the Open exhibition at the Pigyard for the remainder of August. Do you want me to include your 3 paintings in that or would you like me to post them back straight away?
Great to meet you and Ardis and glad you both had a good time here. Your enthusiasm and good humour lifted everyone. We'll find more time to paint together next time, I hope.
  • Kevin Freeney

Glad you both got back safe and sound. What was the traffic like around Dublin?
  • Karen Scannell

When we were painting in the Hook on the fest. Paint out, a car pulled up beside me and a couple got out. After a few murmerings , I heard: " Yeah, their trying to do what that american fella was doing"!! How have you become a celebrity already, being so shy an all?? - thought you'd get a kick out of that one!!
  • Jane Meyler

Hey David...it was such a pleasure to meet and hangout with yourself and Ardis! I can honestly say it's been an age since I'd so much fun and laugh...just buzzing with people with the same passion is the best! It's great we can all keep in touch thru the site....we're always on for a good challenge...especially coming into the winter! Karen'll have her thinking cap on.... so be prepared!!!
