Welcome to Plein Eire site.
You are lucky to be in Galway, which seems to be one of the most active for outdoor painters, so there will be several artists near you with whom you can go out for a few hours painting. I hope Plein Eire puts you in touch with more of them, because that is really what it is for.
Quite a few are members of the Group called 'Plein Eire West'. You will find it under the 'Groups' tab at the top of your page. You need to 'request' membership and they will get back to you soon, I'm sure. Once you have added someone as a 'Friend' you will be able to communicate with that person individually. and you can find events that are coming down the track under the 'Events' tab. You can add to, or begin a discussion under the discuss tab and of course you can look at artwork and post your own. There's more things but that's plenty to start you off.
Post a response or a picture you have painted en plein air to get some feedback started.
And if you are stuck where to begin this thread is a good place.
