    Hi Annemarie

Thanks for that - if you've a printed brochure why not send it to me and I'll reciprocate - put it up in my studio/classroom. You seem to be planning a hectic summer, and you're painting really great paintings. John

  • noelle angley

Hi all, I hope you see you at this saturdays paint out in Leenane. The foeacast is for a cool and mainly sunny day.....I hope!.  There are 2 car [parks.  Lets meet opposite that Tourist Shop and Wool visitor cente on the Westport road at the edge of the village. Thers a coffee shop there- hopefully open. I'll be there at 1am.  The more the merrier, best regards, Noelle

  • Lynda Cookson

Hi Noelle. I actually have a Saturday off this week and am going to try and be there .... but 1am!!! Bit dark about then isn't it? :-)  I hope it's okay but the only way I can be there is to bring my 88 year old Mum and her dog. They will sit happily in the car most of the time as long as I am nearby .... I'm assuming we're going to paint in and around the village so it should be easy for me to keep an eye on them. See you around the lunchtime 1 o'clock :-) Lynda

Hello All, I would have really liked to go but all the dates seem to clash with some event or trip to Dublin by my family and it was the same last summer...so, sorry I am unable to attend. Hope you all enjoy the day I am sure it will be stunning

  • Kieran Tobin

    Hi John,

sorry for belated message. It sounds a very interesting outing but I have to forego it. I hope all attending have a great day. Kieran

  • Belinda Fair

Changed my email address and forgot to change it here. Sorry I missed it.

  • Plein Eire Administrator

If you wish, you can post Plein Eire West paint-outs under 'Events'.

This opens up the RSVP facility which is only on 'Events', so yuou have a better idea who is coming, it allows your paint-out to be 'Featured' (ie. to be promoted on the site) and it also opens up your paint-outs to others on Plein Eire who are not already members of Plein Eire West, but may like to join in. Good luck on Saturday!

  • Patricia Kavanagh

See you in Cong on Saturday John!  Looking forward to it!

    Patricia

  • Deirdre Walsh

    Deirdre

  • HELEN VEALE

    Morning John

Unfortunately I have people coming to lunch on Sunday, so won't be able to make it.  If it is postponed until next weekend that would be great!  Otherwise, have a great day and look forward to the next one.

    Helen

  • Plein Eire Administrator

If the Roundstone visit on Saturday is posted also under 'Events' all members of Plein Eire can see it and you may gain some new recruits.

Perhaps another member of Plein Eire West might take this on as i know John is a busy man?

  • HELEN VEALE

    Hello Noelle

Not sure whether the earlier email that I sent has reached you - I can't find it any where, so I thought I would add this one.  Hope to make the Delphi paint out tomorrow, sorry, Sunday wouldn't work.

    Best wishes  Helen

  • noelle angley

Tomorrow it is! See you in Delphi mountain resort at half ten. Lets hope it's as lovely as today!
  • HELEN VEALE

Might be a little later, cows, milking and dogs first!

  • Patricia Kavanagh

Thank you for keeping in touch Noelle!  I'm sorry I can't make it tomorrow.  Hope you have a nice day.  I'm planning to get to the plein eire event in Westport on 5th October.   Patricia

  • John Dinan

Welcome to our newest member - Annemarie Bourke from Limerick.  Annemarie is a wonderful painter and teacher, has a lovely art gallery in Limerick and is a great addition to our group - great to have you on  board Annemarie!

  • Patricia Kavanagh

    Hi John.

I'd be happy to help out!  I'm in south Galway so I could organise a PaintOut in the area.  If you get a few more volunteers perhaps we could all meet up and plan a schedule for the coming months.

    Regards,  Patricia

  • Norah Blount

John, I hope to get down to the West in May or June and will gladly host a paint out, just a reminder that if you try to reply to your email in our gmaiil accounts it is the usual "do-not-reply" area (this  comes up on the title line when you click reply on your gmail) and the reply to your email goes off in to space !

  • John Dinan

Thanks Patricia and Norah - that's the spirit I was hoping for!  Let's wait to see if there's any more help forthcoming and I'll get back to everyone on this. Thanks again.

  • HELEN VEALE

Morning John, I would be happy to lead the Cong meeting after June - farming commitments make be unreliable earlier.

  • John Dinan

Thanks Helen - good to hear from you, and will get back to you. John

  • noelle angley

Hi John, I'll be happy to host a paint out. Only 2 turned up to Delphi, but its worth another go, there is a lovely coffee shop and its madly scenic. Alternatively  leenane or Louisburgh. Also, I will host a Westport Arts Fetival paint out in westport in earlyOctober - date to be confirmed .

I will be away 26july-10August and last week end in June.

    regards,

    noelle

  • John Dinan

Thanks Noelle I'll be get back next week to everyone who responded. Thanks for your support - as usual. Hope all well and that you're painting a bit. John

  • John Dinan

    Hi All Paintout Volunteers

Based on your offers/times available - I've drawn up this tentative programme for 2014 - let me know if it suits - you can pick Saturday or Sunday - maybe a choice of days in the programme might appeal to more of our members.  When I get your responses I'll publish a final programme

    Date               Location         Leader         Comment

Sat April 19th   Kinvara         Patricia      Lots of views, pubs/toilets nearby

Sat May 10th   Derryclare     Kieran      Stunning scenery, access to toilets

Jun date tbc     Location tbc  Norah       To suit Norah's schedule

July date tbc    Cong            Helen        Reliable venue, facilities nearby

Sat 23rd Aug   Roundstone   John D     Great village for painting, facilities

Sept date tbc  Delphi/Leenane  Noelle   Another two great possible locations

If those leaders above with dates/locations tbc - to be confirmed -  could decide on definite locations and dates that suit THEM, please let me know and I'll then publish a firm programme.  If anyone has any problems with the above, for any reason, please let me know.

As leader, you just have to show up at the venue on time that day. Generally we meet at 10.45 for an 11.00 start; lunch together is optional, but we encourage people to meet at 4.30 to have a coffee/chat and maybe have a look at the paintings.

Look forward to hearing from the 'volunteers'.    John

  • Norah Blount

John, sat June 7th and probably Roundstone I will give plenty of notice if it is not Roundstone as I will post event a few weeks before date and email all

  • John Dinan

    Thanks Norah

  • Patricia Kavanagh

Hi John.  Just want to mention that April 19 is Holy Saturday - Bank Holiday weekend.  I'm wondering if a paint-out on that day would suit people.   Patricia

  • Kieran Tobin

Hi John. Regarding Derryclare, it can be Sat May 10th or Sun May 11th, whichever would suit best. Kieran

  • John Dinan

    Thanks Kieran - much appreciated

    John

  • John Dinan

Thanks Patricia - I'd not noticed that and I agree with you. Which would you prefer Sat 12 or 26th? or the Sundays on those weekends?  I won't be available on 26th weekend but that doesn't matter - you pick what suits you best.

  • Patricia Kavanagh

Ok John. Saturday 12th April is fine for me. Another local member Belinda Fair will host the paintout with me. If that weekend doesn't suit everyone we can do 26th instead.
  • HELEN VEALE

John, sorry for the delay in replying.  How about the19th , if that doesn't suit, then the last Saturday, the 26th would also be OK.

  • John Dinan

    Hi All Paintout Volunteer Leaders

    Hi John.

Yes that's perfect for the Kinvara Paintout. It will actually be April 26th which is the Saturday.

    Patricia
  • Patricia Kavanagh

Thanks for that John. I plan to get to most of these. I'm hoping to see everyone in Kinvara on 26th.
  • Plein Eire Administrator

    Dear Westies,

I recommend you post each paint-out separately under 'Events' if you want to open out your events to other members of Plein Eire. Otherwise, only existing members of this group will see it. This also gives me the opportunity to 'Feature' your event, raising the profile of your group and its activities. If this sounds like extra work, believe me, it is easy and takes only two minutes.

  • HELEN VEALE

Sorry, I won't be able to attend on Saturday.

    Best wishes  Helen

  • Patricia Kavanagh

We're all set for tomorrow's Paint-out in Kinvara.  The weather forecast seems ok, possibly a few showers.  Belinda Fair and I will host the Paint-out and we'll be at the pier in Kinvara at 10:30.  It's a lovely area for painters so we're hoping many of the group will be able to make it.

    Patricia

  • Belinda Fair

Looking forward to a lovely paint-out in Kinvara. It's a lovely coastal village with plenty of variety for subject matter. Lovely little cafe right on the pier also.
  • Margaret Barlow

    Hi Everyone!

I  could host a paint out on Sat 14th or Sat 21st June, whatever suits. Just contact me and we can organise it.

  • Margaret Barlow

The paint out on  Sat 14th or Sat 21st would be in Roundstone, we could have a paint out on both dates....!

  • John Dinan

That's great Margaret - I hope you get some takers!  I won't be available on 14th, but may be ok for the 21st - I hope so - and will let you know nearer the date, unless you go for the 14th based on responses - don't let me influence things.

  • Patricia Kavanagh

Great Margaret!  I hope to be there whichever date you choose.  Patricia

  • Margaret Barlow

I think we should have a paint out on both 14th and 21st!
  • HELEN VEALE

Can do the 21st but not the 14th.  Thanks for volunteering.
