 rom today\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Buxton Spa Prize is an open art competiti
 on to celebrate the town’s culture, natural beauty and heritage. ​
 Over 150 artists entered the third year in 2016. The aim of the Buxton
  Spa Prize is to make the town an internationally recognised centre fo
 r visual arts. The Prize is for artists working in any 2D media (excep
 t photography) who are over the age of 17 on 1st April 2016. The winni
 ng artist will receive a grand prize of £5000. The Buxton Spa Prize 2
 016 is proudly sponsored by ‘The Trevor Osborne Charitable Trust’.
 \nThe Buxton Spa Prize 2017 will be open for entry from 12 Noon Saturd
 ay 1st April 2017. From this date people can enter directly online, vi
 a a paper-based application form or at the Buxton Office from the 5th 
 May 2016. ​​\nThe Buxton Spa Prize is also the home of The Harold 
 Riley ​Sketchbook Prize. Also in it's third year, this Prize is an o
 pen competition for artists to submit a single sketchbook finished in 
 the last year.\nWinners will be judged by a panel of experts from the 
 town and art world. The exhibition includes sale of work and runs from
  Saturday 1st July until Monday 31st July at The Green Man Gallery –
  Hardwick Hall, Hardwick Square South, Buxton Spa, Derbyshire. SK17 6P
