 how many of you are familiar with the War Memorial Gardens in Islandbr
 idge, designed by Edwin Lutyens, famous Edwardian architect (the Cenot
 aph in Downing St as well the Manor on Lambay Is are his designs). Eve
 n if you have visited it before it looked resplendent last week even o
 n a dull day with all the leaves falling, tho the rose terraces were p
 ast their best. A bit of architecture, landscape, water, all in one sp
 ot!\nFor those of you who are fond of their creature comforts I sugges
 t the nearest hostelry is Hilton Kilmainham beforehand (opp Gaol), but
  as it is a short car journey away I'll set up my stall in the Memoria
 l Gardens carpark at 10.30, with camping stove & kettle, croissants, m
