Hi Elaine .. Sorry to be a year late..!! I just saw your request!! Hope to see you in Wexford this summer. I will be teaching a Portrait workshop and a Plein Aire landscape workshop at Karen Scannell's studio just before the Art in the Open Show which I will be participating in again. Really looking forward to getting back and hope to see you then. Hope all is well . Ned
Hello Elaine, I am glad that you enjoyed my painting of Baker park in Frederick MD. It was a glorious Spring day and the colors were just jumping off the canvas. I enjoyed looking at your work too. Love the pastel technique
Hi Elaine.....where are you this year?? We ll miss you with both arms functional :) if you could play music with one...imagine what you d do with two !
All the best, and w e ll be thinking of you In between painting...painting...oh, and did I say painting:))
Thank you! We all went out to Laytown, Co. Meath to paint plein eire style. Everyone else concentrated on the river banks etc., but I thought the structure of these would be a challenge. They are the seed heads of the summer thistle (I don't know the proper name for them). In summer they have purple tops on them. You don't see too many of them in Ireland, they are more common in England, so when I saw them I jumped at chance to paint them!
Aww Elaine...drinking the "good Stuff" while about to set out on your journey home :((....Well "here's to a fabulous Festival year, in meeting old friends and discovering new" Safe journey home, it was great to finally meet you, and chat in person. Keep the paintbrush swaying ..!!
Last year I rented in Dublin and drove down--the one nearer in across the bridge from Wexford and they couldn't guarantee there would be a car, since it relied on drop off at that particular place
Hope you're well--I have been in and out of town a lot and am catching up--hadn't heard back from you, so hope you got my email about travel in Ireland. I had talked to a few over there and they mentioned trains crossing country, but felt if you were stopping a lot , car hire was best. What day are you getting there?
Welcome to Plein Eire. I'm a 'newbie' to plein air but I'm hooked. Have been out a few times now with SEPA. A lovely group of people. Very welcoming! Hope to meet up in Wexford
