I like the new avatar painting. Its great.
But its a striking resemblance (as well) to a grizzled Alistair McGowan who's been left to fend for himself in an episode of 'Lost' or a 'Celebrity Jungle' thing?

I heard he had lost the plot - in a game of cards - and was buried with his horse, White Spirit, in an pauper's grave (being insolvent at the time) - or was that Dick Turpentine? Now I'm confused....

Hi kevin, thanks for your nice comment. No they are not watercolours, believe it or not I paint in Oils. I use them in a way nobody else uses them. I blend alot and use the knife also so you get two textures in the one painting. I love colour so I just have to layer it on.

Thanks Kevin.Looking forward to seeing more of yours.I really like the way your style is heading, between your life drawing and plein air work it looks very strong and distinctive. Looking forward to Sunday?

Hey Kevin...thanks...trying to get out a bit on my own and Rosslare is just a comfort zone for me! The Burrow is a great place...the evening light there and it's on the sheltered side from the south easterly winds! plus there's never many people around...which suits me :)
