I know this is sort notice but the Dublin Plein Air Festival has been asked by VAI (Visual Arts Ireland) to participate in their Get Together 2017 at the Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) this coming Friday 15th Sept.

We have been offered 5 FREE places to attend. This includes a free lunch and attending the many seminars.

Artists will be asked to paint around the grounds of IMMA.

It’s first come first served !!!

Call me on 086 6028904 if you want to attend.

Kindest regards,

Geraldine Donohoe sent us this message today : Nancy Gillespie has asked me if you would kindly post on the Plein Air Sites that she would like to sincerely thank everyone from the Plein Air community who sent wonderful messages of condolence and support and all who were in attendance at Terence's Funeral Service. Nancy would also like a special thank you to Michael Keogh for organising the Paint Out in The National Stud in Terence's memory and to all who participated.

Terence is very fondly remembered by myself and others in the Boyne Valley Group.  A truly lovely gentle gentleman, who loved painting and company.  My sympathy to his wife and family.

Sad to report the news that our friend Terence Gillespie died in hospital on Thursday. Living in Leighlinbridge, Co. Carlow, he sometimes would have painted with members for BVPE and Dublin PE.

He was a quiet man and a true gentleman who loved company and painting and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him and especially his dear wife, Nancy.

Terence's funeral service in celebration of his life will be held in St Laserian's Cathedral, Old Leighlin, Co. Carlow. Wednesday 28th at 12pm.

No Flowers, donations to Medecins Sans Frontiers.

Love, love LOVE this place, so I'm going back again this Thursday (tomorrow).  The weather is due to be wet this weekend, so I'm taking my chance to stay dry.  I'll be in there by 11.00am, so my mobile is 087 9905275.

Allotments, walled garden, fruit ( and you can pick the autumn raspberries), vegetables, fountain, flower beds.  Yada, yada.  Everyone there is so friendly.

The horses are on their holliers, so no stables for the next two weeks.

Please join me if you can.

N11 to just south of Bray.  Go towards Bray and turn right at the traffic lights into Old Connaught Road.  Festina Lente is on the right at the top.  They have a sandwich board outside.
