My first from last Sunday's (2 July) SEPA paint-out. I got there early, having checked the tides the evening before - always easier and more interesting to paint boats that aren't floating. They also tend to be stationery and are unlikely to leave half-way through the painting!

It's oil 11" x 14" MDF Board.

Thanks Meg. When you start thinking about interesting shapes as part of composition, the more random the better. That's why I love to see boats drop into all sort of angles at low tide.

Lovely painting.... so much for the eyes to feast on.. as you say, so interesting when they're resting on the sand- had never thought about that before ..!
