Feb 4th 17. A bright perishing day with a wind that drove us all indoors after a couple of hours sketching. This lonely and ruined narrow-gauge station was the scene of much activity 30 years ago when they filmed THE RAILWAY STATION MAN featuring actor Mr Don Sutherland and actress Miss J Christie, plus others. The buildings and track were 'restored' to unbelievable verisimilitude using plywood and paint. Never saw the cinematic results. Aghla Mountain in the background, (looks like Errigal, but not as high)
