SEPA is an association of amateur and professional painters who paint together regularly outdoors in S.E. Ireland. All artists are welcome. SEPA organises Ireland's 'Art in the Open' plein air festival. SEPA membership is free. NB. As with all Paint-Outs posted on Plein Eire, these events are simply notifications of intent by one individual to be at a particular place and time to paint. Each member's participation is entirely at his/her own risk. No responsibility for harm or loss of person or property on the part of anyone else is intended or implied.

For photos of SEPA's previous paint outs, click on this link: SEPA photos

Here are a few ideas for paint-out venues. Please add your own suggestions and we'll get a schedule together for the coming weeks. Your addfitional recommendations welcome.

Ballinkeele House

Newtownbarry House & Gardens

Dunamore Wood (Borodale) (no facilities)

Rosslare Harbour Lagoon

Tinahely

Wexford Beaches

Wexford Gardens

The Still Pond, near Enniscorthy

As ever, it is weather permitting, so in case the organiser needs to cancel, please indicate by RSVP for each event so a single message will let everyone know if an event is 'On' or 'Off'.

In particular, it seems smaller villages where we have access to coffee and a bite and a chance to say'hello' are sought-after venues. Here are some suggestions:

Yes, we'll all miss this true witty and gentle gent.

Terrence will be very sadly missed...kind, intelligent and witty, he was an avid supporter of our Plein air group attending many paintouts and events. He loved the commeradery, and the chance to practice his love of art. He made a lasting impression on all who met him...a true gentleman. . we have no word yet on arrangements for his funeral. I will be in Dublin on Tuesday to collect Ned, but if arrangements are before then, I have room in my car for a couple of people. Just let me know if you d like to attend. Rest in peace Terry

Sad to report the news that our friend Terence Gillespie died in hospital today. He was a quiet man and a true gentleman who loved company and painting and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him and especially his dear wife, Nancy.

Please remember our good friend,Terence Gillespie and his wife Nancy in your thoughts and prayers while Terence is in intensive care at St. Luke's hospital in Kilkenny. Terence is a very long-standing member of SEPA and we wish him a full and speedy recovery.

Life Drawing Enniscorthy weds nights- a life drawing session has been running for the last few weeks in the Presentation centre in Enniscorthy. In the main hall so plenty of space. 7-9.30pm. There's a FB page called Enniscorthy Life Drawing, set up by Paddy Darigan. All welcome.

Glad to see you are getting started again, I hope to be out soon! Welcome Sheila K, jump in at the deep end is my advice, you'll learn on the job and they're not a scary bunch (mostly) from another reasonably newcomer Sheila!

Couleurs de Bretagne is a plein air festival linking various one-day paint-outs throughout Brittany. One of these, on the weekend of 13/14 May 2017 is in Coueron, with which small town Wexford is twinned. Artists are invited to take part and some home hosting with local families is offered via our contact there, Ms. Jackie Menard. Flights from Dublin to Nantes, which is close to Coueron are around €80/90 with Ryanair.

So far, Kevin Freeney, Jim Doolan and David Goldberg have expressed a desire to take part. Any painters wishing to join them should contact Jackie at jadimenard@LIVE.FR .
