South East Plein Air

Location: Wexford & South East Ireland.
Members: 117
Latest Activity: on Friday

SEPA is an association of amateur and professional painters who paint together regularly outdoors in S.E. Ireland. All artists are welcome. SEPA organises Ireland's 'Art in the Open' plein air festival. SEPA membership is free. NB. As with all Paint-Outs posted on Plein Eire, these events are simply notifications of intent by one individual to be at a particular place and time to paint. Each member's participation is entirely at his/her own risk. No responsibility for harm or loss of person or property on the part of anyone else is intended or implied.

For photos of SEPA's previous paint outs, click on this link: SEPA photos

Here are a few ideas for paint-out venues. Please add your own suggestions and we'll get a schedule together for the coming weeks. Your addfitional recommendations welcome.

Ballinkeele House

Newtownbarry House & Gardens

Dunamore Wood (Borodale) (no facilities)

Rosslare Harbour Lagoon

Tinahely

Wexford Beaches

Wexford Gardens

The Still Pond, near Enniscorthy

As ever, it is weather permitting, so in case the organiser needs to cancel, please indicate by RSVP for each event so a single message will let everyone know if an event is 'On' or 'Off'.

In particular, it seems smaller villages where we have access to coffee and a bite and a chance to say'hello' are sought-after venues. Here are some suggestions:

I suggest Castlebridge. Big Mill and Mill wheel. Old ruins and some stone buildings. The Frying Irishman restaurant is open from 10am. Small river etc... Sunday 28th?

Hi Annie, Good idea.

Is there still a rota running ? I know Neil was planning on Ballyhack last week, so maybe that's for this coming Sunday...

Sunday 28th -

Sunday July 5th -

Sunday July 12th-

Sunday July 19th-

Sunday July 26th -

We need members to adopt a Sunday, post an event, both on the Event page, and mention it here on SEPA.

One of the things we should do as SEPA Members is to "Friend" all SEPA members. When you post an Event, the email notifies all people of your friend list, so take time to make sure all members of SEPA at least, are on your friend list so all will be notified for future events...

Hi  South East group, anyone interested in getting our paint outs done in advance like we did last year, which worked very well. We had them every two weeks and had about six up on the events page. I know we won't get six in before Art in the Open starts but we could get it started. It doesn't have to be two weeks we could have one a week if we want till the Art in the Open. I don't mind if I put up a paint out for next Sunday 29th. We all love painting so lets get the ball rolling
