Hi Gerri, like the two pastel works here.Im trying to use pastels and crayons alot more in my work and i also like rivers, streams and trees.I tend to add water to the pastels when there re on the paper, makes them really slushy but i quite like making a bit of a mess.i joined newirishart too, may run into yer someday,all the best Barry Edwards.
We don't have nearly enough pastel artists on here considering how good they are for working outdoors and how popular in the 'States. Perhaps we need a dedicated Pastel Plein Air group? Anyway, as you are based in Dublin, I recommend you check out our Groups page for your local plein air group, such as Plein Eire Dublin, for news of nearby paint-outs you might like to attend.
