Just a quick update! I've been away on hols for the past couple weeks so haven't been able to update Plein Eire with our recent events! There are loads of sketches up on our main blog from our recent outings to the Viking Festival on Wood Quay, the Natural History Museum and a trip to Howth and hopefully there will be some up shortly from yesterdays trip to Moore Street!

This week there was a resounding call for the Hugh Lane gallery, so it's off to the Lavery Exhibition with the Dublin Sketchers!



Meet at 2pm, just inside the main doors and meet back at the same spot again at 4pm. The group will most likely head downstairs to the café for a catch up and chats (and of course cake).

Due largely to the demands of the popular we're heading to the World Culture Festival in Dun Laoghaire (http://www.festivalofworldcultures.com/). Meeting outside the Dart station at 2:00pm and we'll meet back up just down from the station at the junction at 4:00 for coffee. If it's your first time sketching with us make sure you have a sketchpad in hand so that we'll recognise you.

This week the Dublin Sketchers are heading to the Print Museum!

Meeting at 2:00pm armed with various art supplies! We'll meet outside unless it's raining, in which case inside's where we'll be, meeting up at 4pm again to decide on where to go for coffee.

National Drawing Day is coming up (this Saturday!) and the Pearse Museum have invited the Dublin Sketchers to come and draw. Many of our members will be on the weekend trip to Cork, but some will be attending. If anyone fancies heading out there it is highly recommended - fantastic place. See blog for details! …

Well the Botanic Gardens seems to be the popular choice for this weekend! I can't wait - haven't been in ages and it is just so nice and toasty in those glasshouses! Must remember to use pencil and not ruin my nice new shiny markers though!
