Passionate about Pastels!

It was during the Art in the Open festival '09 that I was introduced to pastels after watching a demonstration by Greg Moore.  Since then I have grown to love this medium, trying out different brands of soft pastels and various types of pastel grounds of which Unison and Sennelier pastels being my favourite and Clairefontaine pastelmat my preferred ground to work on.  It has been through Greg's tutoring and encouragement that this year I joined and have recently become a full member of…

Trip to Leenane PEBV

Well, its all over.  We left for Lennane good friends and came back better friends.  And made a new friend there.  Hi, Deirdre.  It was lovely to meet you and thank you so much for introducing us to Finny.  It was unforgettable.  Hope we meet again soon.

An afternoon in the bog !

I headed out again today as I had lots of paint left on my palette from yesterday - I recently got a new pochade box from Open boxM and it is great for just keeping bag loaded and ready to go when the weather is good - I had trouble with that sky and had to wipe it all out - it changed so fast and the flies were a nuisance but the surroundings were beautiful and the camera doesnt capture all the colours and details (unless your name is Sean )…
