John - thats been up for a while! Tks for letting me know…I will amend...

The "freshness" I think is just from the hassle and immediacy of working "plain air" - short cuts, abbreviations, summary stokes, wind, changing skies, time constraints, - and I try to keep the colors fresh: (Will Nathans tip: "Colour gets the credit, but tone does the work" - largely you will get away with any color if tone is correct. Colors have tones; yello =bright, crimson = dark, etc; keep color mixing to two pigments and a dash of a third if you have to; add white last only if necessary, helps play up the colour. If you can, use lead white, its more transparent than titanium and doesn't overpower (dilute) the color and make it "pastelly"…! - JOF

John, this title showing as Mount St Bridge?  Shirley its Achill?  Your paintings look commendably fresh, would love to figure it out!
