My third AITO entry. I was pleased that I was able to paint quickly enough to capture the light at this time of day. Note to self - must do more!

Comment by Michael McGuire on August 13, 2013 at 11:12: Thanks Antti. I think I'm at my best looking out to sea (my ancestors were all fishermen in South West Ireland!). Hopefully, I'm free to attend more of AITO next year and we get a chance to paint together.

I've always felt that something happens when painting en plein air that has something to do with how the experience impacts on all one's senses. Maybe I subconsciously caught the rythym of the crashing waves in the foreground rocks and landmass.
