I'm delighted to see the golden Furze being celebrated in a painting,  rather than being looked on as an embarrassment.

It is indeed heavenly.  Paddy came across that cottage on the way home when we stopped for a walk so it is lovely to see it painted. You have shown it as part of the landscape and not intruding on it, sitting quietly in its heavenly location
