Comment by Alison Fox on June 13, 2012 at 19:30 Caroline lovely to hear from you again hope to see you out painting again soon.
No, I think the building makes the painting interesting, and is a lovely backdrop. A lovely painting - Well Done!
Comment by Alison Fox on June 10, 2012 at 19:21 Tks for the kind comments and yes for once it seemed to flow so much easier.
Comment by sally downey on June 10, 2012 at 18:53 More nice texture in your flowers in the foreground, Alison. and yes, I agree with the others about the building. It is a relief from all the green we have been looking at recently and the fact that you show just a little bit of it is a bit of a teaser - if this is a quiet spot what can the rest be like?
Comment by Norah Blount on June 10, 2012 at 17:11 I like the building there Alison, it gives it a sense of place and structure- you got a lovely sense of gentle light and that blue/green you got looks perfect can see you liked the subject and you got it done so quickly
Comment by Alison Fox on June 10, 2012 at 14:27 Tks, Sean we missed you for coffee yesterday.
Love the painting Alison. I think the hard lines of the building are in nice counterpoint to the organic shapes elsewhere.
