Calendar Challenge - February -Near St. Helen's BAy

9x12 inches oil on primed mdf board.
i nearly forgot that February was a short month. just got this in on time Feb28th about 4.30pm. I give up on my camera....and patience. I may get some of these re photographed!!
My horizon line is crooked...all part of the rush!!!

A fine painting. The big brushstrokes all come togeather to suggest the

power of nature.

Painting fast does help crystalize the scene.....and cut out detail. You managed to fasten a fleeting sky to the  canvas skillfully............you must leap out of the car and set uplike a magician.

Karen, your skys in all this series are really effective, dynamic and full of atmosplere. Looking forward to seeing how you treat the changes to spring and summer clouds.

Love the sky in this one Karen. My horizon was the same in Kilmore Quay. Lets blame crooked horizons on the rush to get out of the cold.
