A fine painting. The big brushstrokes all come togeather to suggest the
power of nature.

Glad you got back safely... and thanks for dropping by :)
Comment by David Diaz on March 5, 2012 at 23:14 Karen--just got back and hadn't seen this---really nice--thick chunks of paint that gel to a solid painting
Comment by Karen Scannell on March 3, 2012 at 12:17 Thanks everyone...
It's getting easier to set up every time :)

Painting fast does help crystalize the scene.....and cut out detail. You managed to fasten a fleeting sky to the canvas skillfully............you must leap out of the car and set uplike a magician.
Comment by Terence Gillespie on March 1, 2012 at 19:57 Karen, your skys in all this series are really effective, dynamic and full of atmosplere. Looking forward to seeing how you treat the changes to spring and summer clouds.
Comment by Laura Gibney on March 1, 2012 at 18:59 Love the sky in this one Karen. My horizon was the same in Kilmore Quay. Lets blame crooked horizons on the rush to get out of the cold.
