Love this one Kevin, so light and elegant

Hi John, many thanks for your kind comments on my work. Yes, Sligo is a beautiful county and you must have been so happy to spend your school holidays there. Sorry to hear your knee has not healed yet but I'm sure given time it will. Like you I haven't been doing much painting over the last two years. Losing my friend Denis Collins hit me quite hard and I even deleted my Pleineire account for a while as I had totally lost interest. Then I thought Denis would be livid after all the help and encouragement he gave me by promoting my work in his galleries and with exhibitions. So, I am trying to get into the zone as they say once again.

Would have liked to bump into you in Sligo but we were on our way home on Thursday morning. Hope you dodged the rain that day. I love your view of the Dartry Range, more please John.

All the best

Kevin

Hi Kevin, we may have crossed paths here in Sligo. I was there last week and painted the range including Benwisken and Benbulbin from Raghly looking across Drumcliff Bay on Thursday afternoon 1st Sept (attached).

I've not been paining for the past two years - lost the interest with other things taking up my time, including a knee replacement, which still hasn't healed properly. But I hope to get back in on it again soon.

I love your Malahide Castle and Sligo paintings. It's a magical county and I hope to do a lot more paintings there and one day get to the top of Benbulbin. It's a county I spent all my school holidays in as a child.

Best wishes,

John

Ah cheers Kyrle, I really appreciate those very kind comments. Yes, Ka and I had a few lovely days in Mullaghmore and also in Dun Laoghaire recently, so I couldn't resist getting out the paints. I haven't been doing a lot of late except for the odd sketch but trying really hard to get motivated again. Thank you for your words and maybe we could meet up sometime for a paint-out ourselves.

These are quite beautiful Watercolour landscapes Kevin. You make it look easy with your lightness of touch, superb drawing and above all your vision, however I know I could never manage the same delicacy and execution If I tried those same landscapes. Its a wonderful gift you are blessed with.

Ps, its great to see your work on the site again
