Plein Eire

Your site for outdoor painting

Above the Sunken Garden, Newtownbarry House

My second from yesterday's SEPA paint-out. Another study of foliage, and again I decided to add the figures to give some sense of scale.

(14" x 11" Oil on MDF Board)

(I've just realised that I'm close to achieving a personal "pleineire" milestone. I should exceed the 200 posted paintings mark during Art in the Open, all going well. Maybe I need to get a life!)

I'd be lucky to get a pint out of you Mr Administrator, let alone a gold watch! And regarding "bruised apples", well I have plenty of them in the attic!

Don't encourage him, Nuala. He's only looking to get a gold watch or a subscription to Reader's Digest out of me. I want to see 15 more paintings before there'll be any fanfares on this site...and mind, no 'quickies' !

Seriously, Michael, well done. And not one bruised apple in the barrel, either!

Out of interest, I checked Karen Scannell's total who was the first to mind who might come anywhere close to this number, only to find Karen has pruned her roses right back. Of course, there ain't no finishing line, but I wonder, has anyone else got a total approaching this?
