SEPA is an association of amateur and professional painters who paint together regularly outdoors in S.E. Ireland. All artists are welcome. SEPA organises Ireland's 'Art in the Open' plein air festival. SEPA membership is free. NB. As with all Paint-Outs posted on Plein Eire, these events are simply notifications of intent by one individual to be at a particular place and time to paint. Each member's participation is entirely at his/her own risk. No responsibility for harm or loss of person or property on the part of anyone else is intended or implied.

For photos of SEPA's previous paint outs, click on this link: SEPA photos

Here are a few ideas for paint-out venues. Please add your own suggestions and we'll get a schedule together for the coming weeks. Your addfitional recommendations welcome.

Ballinkeele House

Newtownbarry House & Gardens

Dunamore Wood (Borodale) (no facilities)

Rosslare Harbour Lagoon

Tinahely

Wexford Beaches

Wexford Gardens

The Still Pond, near Enniscorthy

As ever, it is weather permitting, so in case the organiser needs to cancel, please indicate by RSVP for each event so a single message will let everyone know if an event is 'On' or 'Off'.

In particular, it seems smaller villages where we have access to coffee and a bite and a chance to say'hello' are sought-after venues. Here are some suggestions:

Hi Karen, passed thro' Thomastown today on way to Kilkenny, it has great potential for a paint-out. Also thought a trip down to Carnsore/Chour/ Nethertown area might be nice during the Summer. We haven't been there en masse yet.............Kevin Lewis

When you sugar-coat it like that...!

Anyway, I have to get my 'November' one done and this could be it.

The weather is to be a bit "dodgy" on Sunday, so how about the working quay in Wexford for a quick painting in the morning....followed by a sloooow pint in Riverbank in the afternoon, to wind up the year?

Yay, somewhere close! Any of these would be great and can we have more closer to Wexford, the home of Sepa, in 2012? As I can't usually travel far, not only do I miss out on meeting friends from neighbouring counties but also my buddies from Wexford.

Well 2011 is nearly at a close, and we have one or two paint outs left before we start thinking about 2012. Time flies doesn't it?

I was thinking of somewhere close to hand next Sunday if anyone is interested? The Safe Harbor, Rosslare Strand, Rosslare Harbor beach, St. Helens beach, Kilmore, the Wildfowl Reserve , South Slobs...any thoughts or suggestions??

I was thinking to wait until after the Opera festival for our next paint out. . We've been promising to go to Waterford City for a long time, so how would you all feel about that? That would be on  Sunday November 6th..

If anyone would like to paint out next Sunday 30th,  let us know  on SEPA group page , as others might be interested also....

As I remember, if intending to take the forest walk down to the Slaney River, it would be best not to wear your Manolos on this one.
