SEPA is an association of amateur and professional painters who paint together regularly outdoors in S.E. Ireland. All artists are welcome. SEPA organises Ireland's 'Art in the Open' plein air festival. SEPA membership is free. NB. As with all Paint-Outs posted on Plein Eire, these events are simply notifications of intent by one individual to be at a particular place and time to paint. Each member's participation is entirely at his/her own risk. No responsibility for harm or loss of person or property on the part of anyone else is intended or implied.

Here are a few ideas for paint-out venues. Please add your own suggestions and we'll get a schedule together for the coming weeks. Your addfitional recommendations welcome.

Ballinkeele House

Newtownbarry House & Gardens

Dunamore Wood (Borodale) (no facilities)

Rosslare Harbour Lagoon

Wexford Beaches

Wexford Gardens

The Still Pond, near Enniscorthy

As ever, it is weather permitting, so in case the organiser needs to cancel, please indicate by RSVP for each event so a single message will let everyone know if an event is 'On' or 'Off'.

In particular, it seems smaller villages where we have access to coffee and a bite and a chance to say'hello' are sought-after venues. Here are some suggestions:

Go back to bed, Deirdre! Paint out not scheduled yet, but probably next Sunday. Forecast at the moment looks like we are in for a cold snap over the week-end, so may be dry/sunny but very cold - perfect then!

Comment by deirdre moriarty on February 8, 2016 at 21:31

Sorry I missed the paintout, I have a chest infection and am suffering mad cabin fever.I feel crap ,weather is crap what a shoight country!

Comment by Dick Donaghue on February 8, 2016 at 9:56

Yes we are up for it.

I'd be up for it, unless the weather is really bad. Somewhere local is probably best at this time of year. Johnstown Castle maybe, or Edenvale (should be reasonably bright in there at this time of year for a few hours anyway - and we'd be out of the wind)

Thinking about going out in the cold is worse but once you get out you seem to warm up, I'd say if you post an event you will make the effort

I'd be up for it if the other half is around to have the kids
