Living in Wesmeath, working near Trim and from Co.Louth and will try to make it to as many paintouts as possible, and agree about spreading the area, Carlingford and all that area are great painting locations and good coffee shops too and not too far with the new motorway

I totally agree Ivor, the list of places on the north east coast is endless. Coming form the border lands myself I consider that anything north of the Boyne right up to Antrim would be regarded as North east.

So I shall look forward to going on a paint-out with Paul and yourself and the North East painters.

Yes indeeed we have planned on putting the "North East Plein Eire" up in the group section. Sally Downey and possibly Deirdre Shanny are willing to share Administration, I was fiddling myself on an image the other day for it but had a little difficulty getting the writing on the top, and as you know life gets in the way and its a little later that you get back to it. Will get back to it in the next couple of days.

Do you feel ready to start up a group for NW plein air painters? Will anyone share the job with you?

The 'Groups' feature has become more flexible in recent weeks. It is now possible to appoint one or more administrators who can share responsibilities of running it with the group creator. You don't want it dependent on just one person anyway.

Can anyone do up a little square button logo to go with whatever title you give yourselves? Plein Eire Admin can help out if not.

Of course, you don't need an official group but there's no doubt it galvanises people and it is somewhere I can direct new Plein Eire members from the north west counties. Apart from the general midlands area, the north-east is the only corner of the country not yet catered for by a group of its own.

I wish you the best for your group. Things might seem slow to start with but keep trying, as they say build it and they will come.
